Hello Hello!
Sorry Mom, I know I said I would write Wednesday-
but things have been a little crazy and we haven't got around to that
whole P-Day thing... haha! But that's ok. Starting Wednesday I'll have
P-Day every day. And right now things are just AMAZING in the mission!
We are getting SOOO excited for General Conference and then with
transfers right around the corner, we have lots of things to organize
and plan. It just feels like there's not enough hours in the day! We had
a mission meeting this morning where we got pumped-up for conference.
We have a mission goal for how many people we will find that weekend
that will be Baptized. 415 people, and I truly believe we can do it!
It'll take great effort and faith, but I know these Sisters can see this
happen. The Lord just blesses us so much! We were able to see 22
Baptisms this week and I know there are so many people that are prepared
to hear this gospel- "THE FIELD IS WHITE ALREADY TO HARVEST!!!"
First things first.... CONGRATULATIONS HAYLEY AND TROY AND MACY!!!! I
am so excited to meet little Lola! I'm sure she's just a doll and I bet
Macy is loving being a good big sister! I just can't wait to hold her
and help babysit!!! I am SOOOOO excited. Love you all so much. What a
blessing!!
Well, I look forward to seeing your beautiful faces in a few days.
Until then, enjoy Conference!!! I know it'll be amazing. I love that
promise about Conference where if we come with questions in our hearts
that something that a speaker will say (or the Spirit will teach you)
will always answer your question. I believe that to be true and I pray
you will all receive personal revelation to your own questions and
concerns as you intently listen to the words of the Prophets. I love you
all so much!! Thank you for your endless love and support. You are
amazing and truly the greatest blessing! Sorry this is short, but I need
to run. Love you!!!

Letter #72: ALMA 17:23
"Yea, I desire to dwell among this people for a time; yea, and perhaps
until the day I die."I feel this way because I love Temple Square and my
mission so much! People are telling me that I'm going home soon... I
usually don't' believe them. Haha. I guess it just hasn't hit yet, and
probably won't until November.
Anyways, Hello Family!!
It's good to talk to you as always! It certainly has been a wonderful week! A busy week as we prepare for transfers and conference. We get to attend the Relief Society Conference tonight and I'm SOOO excited to sit in the Conference Center. I hope the Prophet speaks. One of the things you can all think about and be jealous about (just kidding, don't be jealous.... that's not a good thing, but anyways!) is that this week I got to go INSIDE the conference center organ AND the Tabernacle Organ too. Is that amazing or what?! It was so neat to see all the thousands of pipes, big and small, and see the blower rooms, and how it all works. I literally got to climb up into the rafters and look out at the audience from behind all those gold leafed pipes. It definitely got my musical side excited and I just thought this has got to be a once in a lifetime opportunity! I loved it. I'll attach a few pictures so you know what it looks like too! What a chance to reflect on the sacrifice of the early pioneers who built it.
One of the highlights for sure this week was the Brigham City Temple Dedication. We got to watch it in the Historic Assembly Hall and I just cried. It is such a beautiful thing and it's amazing how even though I wasn't in the Temple, I felt like I was. Temples are such a blessing and I cannot WAIT for the Calgary Open House. I think the Lord is very merciful that I am coming home just in time for the Temple. I do not feel that this is coincidence. The Lord is so mindful of us and has really given me this incredible blessing as I come home.
I am so blessed. I am thinking of how to explain a day here, but I just can't! It's busy but wonderful. i find that my focus is the Sisters, helping them and trying to be as close to the Spirit as I can. I need to rely on the Spirit more than ever. I dunno, I just try to be a good missionary and balance the duties and things that need to get done. It's a lot, but I have been so blessed with amazing companions and people to teach that life is joyful! I just pray I am doing all that the Lord needs me to do and that I do it in His way, not mine. I love the Lord and I love all of you! Thanks for your prayers- I say that a lot but it really does mean a lot to me.
Love, Sister Mullen
PS- Hayley and Troy, I hear that the Baby will come any day! You are constantly in my prayers! I love you and your girls already so much!!!
Love you all!!

| YAY! I'm SITTING on THE TABERNACLE ORGAN! all the organists have PHD in music, so this is kind of a big deal (I didn't dare touch the keys however... haha) |
| This is the three of us sitting in THE actual general authority seats in the front of the Conference Center! Amazing, eh? |

Letter #71: Jacob 2:8
HELLO HELLO FAMILY!!
Well, last week was wonderful. We went up to Park City for Pday to President Harmans home (he's 2nd counselor in our mission presidency). It was absolutely stunning with all the red maple leaves changing. We hiked and had a BBQ. Who says that missionaries don't have fun?! We have such a blast in this mission! Tomorrow we get to watch the Brigham City Open House in the "horseshoe" where MoTab rehearses underneath the Tabernacle. Pretty fancy, eh? It should be an incredible experience. Many Sisters have never seen a dedication and even for me I cannot wait! I hope that we're able to go inside the actual temple for the Calgary Dedication. I always tell the Canadians I meet on the Square to go to the Open House! It's just such a special experience!
Well, we've had a great week. The highlight of the work this week was definitely M*** A*** from Nigeria. He is AMAZING!!! He cannot wait to be Baptized and to go to Church tomorrow. I met him last Sunday on Chat and he is just so sincere, has such strong faith and wants to join the church so he can serve more of God's children. The first time we called he said "oh please call me any time. I trust you. I want to learn from you. I am your brother" and when we invited him to be Baptized he just kept saying "I will! I will! If I had it here I would get in!" Haha. Don't you just love Africa?! He has been counting down the days to go to church. AH! I just love him. I feel that Heavenly Father has blessed us to find him and teach him because I always feel so uplifted after calling him- His life will be so richly blessed as he continues to embrace the restored Gospel.
We did lots of training with the senior missionaries in the family search library helping them to know how to teach and answer questions and bridge over to the gospel. They are such wonderful people and I actually learned a lot too! I even found a document of when Grandpa, Gran, Aunty Beryl, Gary, and Vernon all came over through the UK! I'll attach it to this email. It was so fun to find!!! Isn't that amazing?!
We're getting really excited for General Conference:
"And it supposeth me that they have come up hither to hear the pleasing word of God, yea, the word which healeth the wounded soul."
That's what thousands will be doing soon as they come to hear General Conference! I'm getting pretty excited about it and we get busier and busier as we prepare. It leaves very little time to think of anything else, which is good! We're busy with trainings and little meetings and it's been great to be on the Square and teaching lots too. We found more people to teach this week than in a long time and I feel so blessed.
Well I better go, we're going to visit a cemetery toady where many of the Prophets were buried. Should be neat! But please know that I love you all so much and I appreciate all your love. Continue to be the great examples that you are! I pray for you all constantly and I am so grateful for the blessings that you are in my life.
All my Love,
Sister Mullen
PS's:
Thanks for your letter Hayley! I am SO excited to meet your new little girl and I'm sure you and Troy are as well! (along with every one else!) It just made my day so bright to hear from you! I was proud of you for your handwritten letter for sure!
Britt, let me know what your plans for Oct 10th are. If we are flying together, I would love to leave some things in your car if at all possible, but if you're not I just need to let Temple Square fleet know. Love ya!

Letter #70: Alma 57:27 "They are young and their minds are firm and they do put their trust in God continually."
FAMILY!!!
Well, what a wonderful week. It's truly autumn and the weather is beautiful on Temple Square. I love every minute and we're starting to get REALLY excited for General Conference. It is going to be such an incredible weekend. We're already seeing a lot of miracles already though- here's one neat story:
One of the Zone Leaders, Sister Martin and Sister West, are teaching this incredible couple. Seriously, most epic story ever (it may have to be made into a movie for deseret book!) haha. Ok, so T**** is a member of the church and was dating and in love with M*******. The night he proposed to her, she had a stroke and lost all her memory. She couldn't remember him or anything at all. For ten years, he waited for her, but she never remembered. Amazingly enough, she had another stroke and got her memory back!! Now they are engaged and getting married and he is taking the lessons to join the church so they can be sealed and be together for time and all eternity. WOW! There is true love for ya! I thought this story was amazing so I just had to share it with you all! There are so many incredible people that are being taught by the Sisters and we are so blessed.
One of my miracles was I was able to talk to C****** and J******* M***** from Louisiana this week! They are doing so well and are active and J*** even is starting up her family history and wants to come out and visit me so we can go to the Temple together. There's simply no greater joy than what comes from the gospel and seeing those you love live it too. We are teaching a few Spanish people too that are amazing. As they learn and are baptized, even months later, it brings such joy because you know that through their obedience they will be richly blessed (D&C 130:20-21). Guess what, Dad?! I'm even speaking in a Spanish ward tomorrow! Haha that should be fun. However, it's not as exciting because I will have a translator because I only know muy poquito Espanol. Will you study with me and teach me Spanish this October, por favor?! That would be wonderful preparation for MEXICO!!! Gracias!
Well, we have been greatly blessed to find many to teach this week. We went on exchanges every day with different zone leaders and I am continually humbled by the diligence and faith of the missionaries around the world. How blessed I have been to be a full-time missionary and to wear Christ's name by mine every day. It's such a neat thing to literally take his name upon you every morning when you put on your name tag. I'm not as diligent as others (whereas Sister Matautia who wears it even when she's sleeping! haha), but it has meant a lot to me. However, the more we become like him in our actions, people will recognize us as disciples of Christ from our countenances and not just from a name tag. We strive to become a little bit more like him each day.
Well, I love you all so so much! Thanks for your love and support. I pray that you all are well and especially that Aunty Beryl you had a wonderful Birthday! I thought of you throughout the day and I met a lot of great people that I got to share the gospel with so I consider that a wonderful way I was able to celebrate your special day! Love you so very much! Also Hayley, you especially will be in my thoughts and prayers as you prepare to welcome a new little one into the world very soon!!! You have no idea how excited I am for you. Can't wait to meet the new McKibbin!! Love you all so much!
Love,
Sister Mullen
Do these pictures look familiar Nana and Grandpa Dan?! haha PROBABLY! I've only got to announce in English twice on my mission, but this was my chance and both times I have met very wonderful prepared people and was able to share the Restoration with them. I love my mission so much! Where else do you literally get to declare repentance to a large crowd? Only Temple Square... love it!

Letter #69: 2 Nephi 31:20
What a wonderful Week! I feel so blessed to have so much fun news from
family! Sounds like you're doing many great things in all different
parts of North America!! That's so great!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!! I hope and pray you will have a wonderful day. I love you so much and wish you the best. I know you will be flying into SLC tomorrow too. Know that you are in my prayers and that you are so much a part of me. Abraham Lincoln once said, "all that I am or ever hope to be I owe to my angel mother!!!" That is so very very true of me as well. Thank you for being the Angel that you truly are. I love you forever!!
Also, tomorrow I found out is "Grandparents Day!!!" So I just wanted to say hello especially to Gran, Nana, and Grandpa Dan! I love you all. Thanks for all you do and for your strong faith! You are such blessings in my life! Have a wonderful day tomorrow! I love you so much!
This week has been amazing! Also difficult, but truly amazing. The last three days we have spent a good chunk of time in the third floor of the fancy shmancy Lion House, Historical home of Brigham Young to have ZLC and Leadership Training. It was amazing. We instructed on the Doctrine of Christ, Faith, Repentance, Baptism, the Gift of the Holy Ghost and of course Endure to the End! It was powerful to know that understanding the Doctrine of Christ will increase our desire to do missionary work than anything else we can do, so we really felt a powerful spirit as we learned and practiced teaching over the three days. I was lucky to be there all three days as we instructed a part of the mission each time and it was simply amazing to me that even though it was the same instruction and scriptures all three days I learned new things each time. To me this is a testimony of how the Spirit is the true teacher of truth and how the scriptures are living and so we continually learn more from them each time we study. Because of this, we know they are the words of God! I truly have developed a great love for the scriptures and know that's probably one of the biggest changes I've seen within myself. They make such a difference in our lives and when we place our studies as priority the Lord greatly blesses us.
The reason I say it has also been a difficult week is because there have been a few Sisters have deaths back home that we had to look out for. It's difficult to see a Sister have to go through that, but I feel blessed to know how they feel and be able to be of some comfort. I truly feel that it's a blessing to have so much support here in this mission and to know about the Plan of Salvation. What a joy and blessing it is to have this knowledge! It's actually been fairly amazing to see the Lord looking out for these families and how the timing is good so they have the support they need. He is truly mindful of us!! (Alma 26:37)
Well, I'll let you go, but know that I love you and you're in my prayers. The gospel is true and it brings true joy!! Keep spreading the joy. MUCHO AMOR!
Love,
Sister Mullen

Letter #68: SEPTEMBER ALREADY?!
Dearest Family,
First off- There are many many Birthdays coming up this month in the family!!! So in advance, Happy Birthday to Mom, Aunty Beryl, and Brittany!!! I love you all so much and hope you have a wonderful wonderful special day!!!
Second- a brand new Transfer is already here! It's been great so far and SUPER busy! I have a new companion, who I already knew and loved dearly... SISTER KEALAMAKIA! She is from New Zealand and Hawaii (half Maori, half Hawaiian). She's just amazing. I'm already learning so much from her charity and her humility. She is a powerful teacher and so much fun. Her birthday was on Thursday and the first thing she did was get up, make Sister Barraza's bed and after we all exercised she made us breakfast!!! Point being- she's super nice and very thoughtful of others! In fact I think she forgot it was her birthday until we gave her cheesecake for breakfast (haha that's definitely a Sister Mullen's favorite dish!) anyways, we're having a great time as a trio!
I really loved this week. I was truly blessed and honored to be able to assist in interviewing and pairing up Trainers with Trainees on their first day. When I first found out that I would be an Assistant, honestly that assignment was what I was most nervous for. I guess I had fears about ensuring that I would receive the proper revelation and felt a lot of accountability for such important matters. But it was a great experience for me. I really learned that the Spirit works line upon line and as we make decisions, things "just work out" and then the Spirit confirms after we're willing to act. This was such a precious thing for me to take home with me after my mission. It was truly powerful to see the hand of the Lord arranging who needed to serve with who. It worked out so smoothly, and I know it worked smoothly because it was the Lord doing it, not President or Sister Gillette or us, but the Lord. Companionship are so inspirited by the Lord and it's been a true blessing to witness that so first hand.
Well, here are a few pictures from the Departing Temple Trip on Tuesday (which happened to be the same time as Whitney, Brittany's roommate, was getting married!!). That was kinda fun!
I will miss these sisters so much, but what an honor it was to attend the temple with them and hear of their testimonies as we said "see you later" and not "good-bye." Hope you don't mind, Mom, because I definitely have invited pretty much every Sister who has ever served on Temple Square to come visit us in Canada!!! haha. I really hope they do!! You make such dear friends here and I truly believe that there have been many people that I have always meant to be friends with that will last throughout eternity. The Lord has blessed me greatly in this regard.
3 Nephi 5:13 "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life."
Well I love you all so much!!!!! Travel Safe as you come to an end of the Summer. (a Summer of daily miracles!)
Love,
Sister Mullen

Letter #67: 2 nephi 5:27
Hello Family!
Wow, sorry this will probably be a short email because I am running out of time! Today was amazing but super busy! This whole week was amazing actually! I just got back from taking a new Sister around Temple Square. She was my companion for 3 hours or so and she is still in the MTC but spent an evening on Temple Square to see what it's like! It was such an awesome experience. Sister Najaima from Japan. I have never had the chance to train a new Sister (which is ok because I've been so blessed to do many other things!) but it was the closest to training I think I'll get and I just loved it so much! This sister was so nervous but filled with the Spirit and we definitely saw miracles and met some incredible people. We even went on the phones for a while and no one was answering. So we prayed once again that some one would answer, and the next call the person did! The Lord definitely blesses us with miracles every day, hour and minute when our hearts are open to receiving them.
I'm excited for transfers this week. I guess the suspense is gone because we work with President on the transfer board often, but it still will be marvelous to see what this next transfer holds in store. Namely, GENERAL CONFERENCE!!! I'm so excited and we've been planning, praying and preparing so we all will be ready and excited for that miracle-filled weekend.
K well I'm so so sorry this is short but I need to run! Love you lots!
